Pastors Larry and Elaine Millender

Pastor Ed Lloyd

Ed Lloyd, a native of the Caribbean island of Dominica, is the Founding President and CEO of Family Christian Center Leadership Training Institute. Ed currently serves as Executive Pastor at Abundant Life Fellowship in Tallahassee, Florida, where he oversees Evangelism, Worship & Arts, and Member Care Services. He has also served on the Leadership Team of University Ministries International (UMI) under the bishopric of Dr. Joseph Brown for three (3) years. He served as choir director and a gospel preacher on the ministerial team at Family Worship & Praise Center for over 8 years, and also served on the Board of Directors of Global Evangelistic Network, Inc., a fellowship of churches in the North American Outreach (NAO) Fellowship. Ed worked as an AmeriCorps* VISTA volunteer and served as Marriage and Family Ministries Coordinator with Live the Life Ministries in Tallahassee. He is an ordained Elder and a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ed has established himself as a leader of leaders.

Ed, who is a licensed engineer, holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering, respectively, from the FAMU/FSU College of Engineering, in Tallahassee, Florida. He has co-published a Technical Paper in the Journal of Computer Engineering. Ed has worked as an Accountant with Coopers and has worked as a Math and Calculus Instructor at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. He has served as an instructor of “Praise & Worship” and “The Elements of New Testament Greek” at the Z. E. Brown Bible College, and he has taught “Blood Covenant” and “The Believer’s Thought Life” at Abundant Life Bible Training Center.

Before suffering kidney failure on January 16, 2002, Ed volunteered as a substitute math instructor at Florida A&M University. He is currently a Freelance Portrait Artist. His art hangs on permanent display at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in Macon, Georgia, and he has taught “Advanced Pencil Drawing” at the Lemoyne Art Foundation in Tallahassee. Ed has proudly served in a Pastoral role at Oasis Church International under the bishopric of Dr. Wayne Babb.

Ed is married to his wife Rhonda (who is also an ordained Elder and gospel preacher) of 20 years and they have two children, Ed II (18) and Kenya Ashley (15).
Pastor Larry and Elaine are both 1986 graduates of Rhema Bible Training Center. They have been married for over 32 years and have three children and 4 grandchildren.

Pastor Larry was employed with Buckeye Cellulose for eleven years as a heavy equipment operator before going to Bible School in 1984. During that time, he also worked as an Associate Pastor in a volunteer position in two separate churches. After graduating from Rhema, Pastor Larry traveled as an itinerant evangelist for 2½ years before starting Abundant Life Fellowship in 1989.

Pastor Larry has a heart for missions, and has been on numerous missions trips           
including Norway, Haiti, Bolivia, The Bahamas, as well as field work after Hurricane Katrina. Over the years, he has become a pastor to pastors, and regularly travels the globe to speak at various conferences.

Pastor Elaine was a "stay at home" mom until 1986 when she was employed as a clerk for the Leon County Clerk's Office. In 1992, Pastor Elaine came on staff at Abundant Life Fellowship full-time. Pastor Elaine currently oversees much of the women's group functions as well as much of the day to day activity at the church office. Pastor Elaine is a dynamic speaker and leader.
